Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy at all times.
- Disclosure
of information
- The IIM will neither rent, sell nor make available
your personal information to any third party unrelated to the IIM, other than
where we believe the law requires it or where we have sought and been given your
specific permission to do so. We will always comply with UK data protection legislation
currently in force.
- What information is collected and how is it used
- We
collect personal information for the following purposes:
- Membership assessment,
administration and development
- Event Management and CPD activities
- Administration and development of training and CPD programmes
- General research and development
- Website administration and development
- Provision of associated services and benefits
- Provision of information relating to assignment opportunities for IIM members
- On occasion we would like to contact you by telephone, fax, email or otherwise
in writing to inform you about services and products that we consider may be
of interest to you. You will be given the opportunity to indicate your
consent to this each time you provide or input any personal information. With
each subsequent communication you will be given the right to withdraw your consent
to receive any such further marketing from us.
- The Site does not automatically capture or store personal data from visitors
to it, unless a user logs in, in which case the user’s name and IP address
are stored in what is called a 'session variable', which 'self-destructs' in
any of the following circumstances:
- 60 minutes of inactivity
- the user closes his/her browser
- the user goes to another web site.
Activity on the Site is monitored on a purely anonymous basis - there is software
on the server which records how many pages are visited and when, but not by whom.
This information is used only for administration of the Site system and in the
compilation of statistics used by the IIM to assess the use of the Site. The
IIM does not use 'cookies' to collect user information from this Site, and the
Site does NOT use cookies.
- You further agree that we may process your personal information in order
to anonymise it.
- Third parties' web sites
- The IIM Site contains links
to other web sites. If you choose to activate these links you should make yourself
aware of their separate privacy and data collection policies. We accept no responsibility
or liability for such policies of these third parties.

Site and/or submitting your information to us, you consent to the IIM keeping
and using such information in the manner described in this Privacy Policy.
- Our
aim is to ensure that your details are current, accurate and complete. You have
a right to see the information we hold about you at any time and we will correct
it if it is inaccurate, provided we are notified accordingly.
